“Please” is a song for anyone who has had to make that impossible choice. It is a raw, aching apology to the ones we leave behind, the child who won’t see their father today, the pregnant wife waiting at home, or the parents who are getting older while you are thousands of miles away chasing “greener pastures.”
I wrote this to capture the heavy guilt that settles in your chest when you realize that building a better future often means missing the present moment with the people who matter most.
The lyrics “Please” and “Por favor” are more than just words; they are a desperate plea for forgiveness sent across the ocean. This track dives deep into “Saudade”; that specific, aching pain of the soul that only hits when your heart is in one country and your body is in another.
It’s about the sorrow of not being there when you are needed most and the realization that the distance has grown wider than any map can show.
This music is a bridge made of tears and hope, a way of saying, “I am sorry for the silence.” It is a tribute to the sacrifice of every dreamer who had to leave home to save it. It’s for the nights when the video call isn’t enough and the success feels empty because the ones you love aren’t there to share it.
“A dream shouldn’t cost a family, but sometimes it does. This song is my way of reaching across the ocean to say I’m sorry.” — Supa Fik
