You’re three hours into a long drive, the city noise has finally faded, and the destination is still a distant point on the horizon. Suddenly, you find yourself leaning back and letting out a breath you’ve been holding for weeks.
You stop checking the GPS every five minutes and start noticing the way the sunlight hits the trees or the specific hum of the tyres on the asphalt.
“Wanderlust” is for those of us who feel most at home when we are caught in that beautiful “space in between.” It captures the moment you stop worrying about the arrival and just let the wind hit your face. I wrote this track for the eternal nomads, the seekers who find their peace not in a house with a front door, but in the constant motion of the open road.
It’s a tribute to those rare moments where the map loses its power over your afternoon and the feeling of movement takes over your soul. It is about finding home in the discovery of something new around every corner and the rhythm of a life lived in transit.
This music is about making peace with the fact that maybe the goal wasn’t the point at all; maybe the journey itself was the actual reward. We spend so much of our existence rushing toward a finish line that we forget the ground beneath our feet is where life is actually happening right now.
This is a song for the people who look at a long highway and see freedom instead of a chore. It is a reminder to put the phone away, look out the window, and realize that you aren’t lost, you are simply exploring. It’s the soundtrack for the heart that refuses to sit still, celebrating the magic of the miles you’ve covered and the infinite possibilities of the road that lies ahead.
It’s the realization that you are exactly where you need to be: right here in the middle of the adventure, where the destination is just a secondary thought to the feeling of being truly free.
“We spend so much time worrying about where we are going, we forget to feel the ground beneath our feet. ‘Wanderlust’ is a reminder that the space in between is where life actually happens.” — Supa Fik
